Simple days...

Summertime is the best! I get to spend it at home with my beautiful wife and daughter. It's fun to have the little one around to help remind us to enjoy the simple things. Today we went on a hike with some friends. It wasn't a long one (only 2.6 miles) but our first with Zoey in the baby backpack and a cool waterfall as well. Gaining over 900ft of elevation in less than a mile with Z on my back was a great reminder as to why I never want to gain an extra 25lbs! She did great except that it took me a while to explain to her the during the hike that I was the one burning all the calories and her exercise was limited to patting me on the head during her ride. If this video works then being a blogging nerd is worth it! This is a little recap of what little Z has been up to this month. While she doesn't really perform for the camera she sure gravitates toward it. Don't forget to turn the volume up!

We're here...

I was just giving some friends a bad time about having a blog. I mean really, who else has the spare time to read about you and what you're doing all the time. Now that Zoey has arrived we are constantly sending pictures to family and it's tough to keep up with the demand. Ultimately this site will allow us to post video too which makes it more appealing. So, I'm eating my words and we are going to give this a try. Keep in mind this will be geared toward family. Ahhh...I still can't believe we are doing this!


Sorry the picture is a bit dark but this is Eryn and Zoey at Dorena Lake. We are pretty spoiled where we live. We drive about five minutes to Dorena Lake to play or walk and we are also five minutes away from Cottage Grove Lake.

I hope she doesn't get comfortable being behind bars.



Well, it's tough to see here but Zoey is pretty excited about her two top teeth coming in!




Here is the newest toy addition. I know it looks like a success here but it is still a work in progress.



Z is officially mobile. She has been on the prowl lately. I'll see if I can attach a video clip tomorrow or later tonight. The footage is still on the camera.
