Summer 2012 - Week 1

Summer vacation started one week ago today and we haven't wasted a minute!  So far we have had a trip to Grandpa's campground, fishing, riding the quad, gardening, biking, swimming, playing at the beach, kids meals, room service dessert, treats from treasure chests, naps in the car, sunsets, coloring, the Marine Science Center and LOTS of smiles! Still a lot to do yet!

Last Day of School!

Today was the last day of school with students. We started the day at 3:30am with a marathon commute to school from Springfield. A coworker and I started the first annual CGHS Staff R2W (run or ride to work) Marathon. We hatched the idea about three weeks ago and recruited some staff participants. We even had shirts made. This year we ended up with three runners, eight bikers and a relay team. It was a great success! Nothing like running a marathon before a full day of work! The girls also scored some dress up clothes that a student at school gave us.
