Christmas Tour 2009

Christmas started at home and then ended four days later this year. Although we were at three places other than home for Christmas it was great to spend some time with everyone. The Christmas Tour 2009 left from home and headed to Grandpa Scott's for Christmas Eve. From there we headed to Grandma Barb's for the night and spent Christmas Day with Grandma. The final destination was up to Portland to see Me Mo and Ta Ta Kebbe. Zoey also got to see all her Aunts and Uncles as well as cousin Brody. As you can see from the last picture in this post Zoey used up plenty of energy playing with everyone. Thank you to everyone for your hospitality and generosity. It would not be Christmas without family.

A recap of the last couple of months...

It has been a while since we posted a video. Many of the pictures have been posted already but there are some fresh video clips. Zoey talks and sings like crazy now. We all fought off a bit of the flu but we have made it to Christmas Vacation! I hope to never know the Christmas season without a couple of weeks at home with my girls!

Happy Halloween!

Grandpa came down to visit yesterday to watch some football and take Zoey trick or treating. Zoey's new "picture smile" sometimes looks like she is not happy but she was loving the tigger costume. Once we headed out trick or treating Zoey was all about holding Grandpa's hand and collecting some loot! Each time she would walk away from one house she would look up at Grandpa and say "go get more candy?" Once we got home Zoey was more interested in checking out the goods than she was in eating.

Back at it....

Once school got started things got a bit crazier around here. A lot has happened in the last month or two. Zoey turned two on October 8th and she is talking like crazy. Grandma Barb, Aunt Christina and Cousin Brody came down for the party along with some other friends from Cottage Grove. Zoey is no longer sleeping in a crib which means whenever she gets the itch to hang out with Mom or Dad at say 2am all she has to do is walk on over to our room. So here are a bunch of pictures from that I have been slow to post. Some are from the birthday party while others are just random shots from the past six weeks or so.

Go Beavs and Papa's Pizza with Grandpa!

It has been a long time since I've spent any considerable amount of time in the Papas Pizza playroom but we made up for it today with Grandpa and some more of the fam. It took Zoey a bit to warm up to the chaos but once she did the only way we got her to leave on her own was to tell her we were going to get ice cream...not surprising considering that it's the same way I have to bribe Eryn sometimes. Cousin Brody never stayed in one spot for very long and I think Uncle Brian had more fun than all of us at times.

The fist couple of pictures are from Saturday before the Beaver game started. I have to say it was a perfect weekend as the Duckies lost (the game and even better their temper) and the Beavers won. Say what you want about the Beavers playing Portland State (see also the 02-03 Duck schedule when they played Portland State and powerhouse Idaho in back to back games) but I'll take the win after opening with a Pac-10 game last year and then heading to Penn State.
