A busy weekend...
Well, as most weekends are looking to be this summer this one was quite eventful. We headed to Grandma Barb's house in the morning and spent several hours there. Then we were off to Tyler Bushnell's wedding reception. Finally, we stopped off at Grandpa Scott's for an hour or so to visit before we headed home. What a day! The first picture is from when my mom visited a couple weeks ago and took Zoey for a walk down to the school to tame the lions.

Me-mo,Ta-ta, Uncle Mikey and Aunt Inna...
We just got back from a few days in Portland visiting family. Zoey was excited to see everyone. Uncle Mikey and Aunt Inna came over to Me-mo and Ta-ta's for a visit and Zoey could not have been happier with the crowd. She ran around with Hadley the life size teddy bear and practiced saying everyone's names. Zoey also enjoyed a walk to Mt. Tabor Park with Me-mo to play at the playground. Slides and swings are two of her new favorite words. We wrapped up the trip with a lunch visit to Ta-ta and Uncle Mikey's work. It may not appear so by the picture but Zoey really likes her Uncle Mikey. As we arrived home and started pulling in the garage Zoey started to say "no, no, no..." Obviously someone was ready to head back to Portland. Thanks for a great few days!

School is out for summer!
We've tried to make the most out of our first week. Here are just a few of the things Zoey has enjoyed doing lately:
1. Watering plants with the hose.
2. Playing "fort" under her swimming pool inside the house.
3. Listening to music and dancing.
4. Counting to ten and insisting that she only has six fingers.
5. Going to the lake (only a five minute drive so we will be taking better advantage of that this year).
6. Discovering her shadow.
7. Running through the sprinkler.
8. Eating popsicles
9. Watching the 2009 CGHS Track and Field highlight video over...and over....and over. I've used her new favorite song from the track video in the video below.
10. Adding new words to her arsenal each day.
11. Looking at books and magazines.
But I'm sure you could have learned most of that from just watching. Enjoy the video!
